Hello,

today i visit the Parker Website. I think the Contact and Slinger II-Pens are discontinued.

Did anyone know something?

I wouldn't be surprised. Don't know anything for sure, though. Maybe M. Lewertowski could enlighten us.

Not surprised wither they were both really ugly.

I have one of each; yes, they're ugly, but they're useful for my walks by the countryside. I suppose even if they're discontinued, there must be plenty of them as NOS.

The jotter is hard to beat; any other affordable ballpen by parker is doomed to failure.

Ditto, no other ballpoint on the market can beat the Jotter for its price. I have a stainless steel one with a gold clip and it's a workhorse and I don't mind lending it and still looks good on a blazer.

Agreed the Jotter still takes a lot of beating. Has anybody tried the Urban - very heavy and very slippy to hold - do the designers actually try to write with these pens I wonder?

I have an Urban... Find the weight and the balance quite pleasing, and have never had any problems with it slipping. So I suppose it's a matter of preference. The only thing I find annoying in its design is the business end not being made of one piece (like in Pelikan Belle).
