I picked this up at a yard sale. The gentleman who sold it to me boasted of paying $16 for it new and was very happy to seld it to me for $5. Imagine how happy I was to give him the $5. The ingraving under the barrel calls it a " Parker "51" Special". This pen is in perfect working order and writes great. Now I see why the 51" is so well liked.

It's nice when both sides are happy.

I suspect I'd be stupid enough to blurt out that it was worth more than $5 before I got around to paying for it.

Regards

Richard.

Very nice pen and very nice buy! My first "51" was a burgundy aero that cost a bit more than you paid wallbash.gif but still is a great writer.

You did really well. I have a burgandy '51' special as well. It is my favorite writer among my (Somewhat small) '51' collection.
