not sure if it will top the Nassau the other week. I think that this one might top out around $1500-1700.
few dings, I think that it would have benefited to send it to Daniel K. Money well spent, in the long run.

As much as I like the pens, I would not feel....right.. bidding on them.

I think this is the pen that DWL (pentrace) is selling on consignment for someone. Gorgeous pen no doubt, too much for my pocketbook though. It'll be fun to watch!

Seller never wronged me, but it seems that to spend a lot of money on a high end item like this, seems, how do you say it, risky? Seems there are a few people out there pretty vocal about the "past"
I believe in giving a second chance, and giving people the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time, I would be real hesitant to send $1200 + out for this pen and pencil set, that is being sold on consignment, nonetheless.
However, if I was a bona fide interested person in purchasing this set, I would feel better purchasing in person, where cash and item can transfer ownership in the real world. I think that he fairly described the item, and represented it honestly. I hope the seller does well with it. I hope the buyer is happy with their purchase and transaction.
I hope the seller can use this transaction as a basis to show the rest of the community that he is a changed individual, and earn the trust and the respect of the pen community.

165 transactions in 3 1/2 months, all customer feedback, with the exception of one negative, are glowing feedback. The one negative he did get. The buyer paid a penny for the item and $10 to ship it. Doesn't seem she has much room to cry in my eyes. I've gotten several great buys from him both direct and through ebay. I like his product and services. Until I see him do me wrong first hand I'll remain a customer. Stay away all you like, it just makes the deals all the better for me.

I respect your viewpoint, and you are informed, apparently. So I hope things continue to go well. He doesn't tend to sell the things I'm interested in, so it's a moot point for me. We share an interest in discussing pens.

I don't see any attacks here.... what I see is people stating they would not bid on the pen....
Also unless you know the complete history of the seller with the person posting or the actions that took place here on FPN, I don't see how you can comment of their actions....

hey no prob, I will stop pointing out that the seller has caused issues in the past. Just don't expect any sympathy when he does cause issues again.
Yes, I would like to see him be on the straight and narrow, but there have been too many cycles of issues in the past to discount that possibility from occuring again.
Only trying to point out to those who do not know the seller's history that there may be an issue crop up. We all here try to look out for each other, this is not much different than posting that someone in Thailand who is selling on ebay is not on the up and up and to be wary.
I do hope that DWL gets his stuff together, I really do, as he seems to be a nice fellow. For the record, this is the very first thread that I have ever replied to on FPN or PT regarding this sellers history. I will refrain from doing so again.
Cheers,

Hi Folks,
Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in the Ask The Experts Forums. When Denis created that category we were hopeful that it would draw more interest as no other pen sites are known to have such forums. Looks like the effort is paying off First of all, we are mighty glad that Dennis Lively could offer his time to lead the Repair Q&A Forum. His was the first Expert Forum that kicked off that Category. And look at it now, thank you Dennis For company, Dennis now have two other experts in their own fields. They are Rob Astyk leading the Pen History Forum and James Pickering leading the penmanship Forum. Thank you Rob and James It is hoped that with these gentlemen leading the expert forums, it would elevate this site to a higher level.
On another note, if members should ever need to report an offending post, just click on the Report Button. The report will go to the Moderators. But I doubt you will need to use it. Pen folks are so well behaved So, what are you waiting for. Go and ask the experts "

How much rehabilitation does he have to go through before he is considered acceptable to the fold again? Or, were the transgressions considered unforgivable?

They are NOT splitting hairs.
They speak of history. You make assumptions as to their thoughts. Naughty.
Spare me the savior stuff. That bromide can be mapped onto anything one wishes and represents emotion rather than history.
It is reasonable for people to wish the best while not forgetting reality. That is sensible.
Enabling behavior seems common by internet writers who sympathize with anyone who wears his heart on his sleeve (again and again and again and again and again). It seems to be a characteristic of internet discussion boards.
All here appear to wish the best, as do I.
But head-in-sand is not helpful.

Was unforgivability of transgressions cited?
