If you can find them, Oxford Optik notebooks are spot on. They made an A6 notebook until a couple of years ago - sewn, perfect lie-flat-ability, and with ideal, unbeatable, paper for FPs.

And then stopped making the sewn version within two months of my discovery.

The spiral ones still exist, I think, and there might be A6 hardback books that I haven't found.

You are right. I had just posted a note elsewhere about these when I saw your post, Lurcho.

I found them in WH Smith in A4 and A5 sizes. Excellent.

Right you are both of you, and like Chris I just posted on the other recent thread on Oxford Optik. In fact, what I should have said there is that for the overall design and functionality, I think these notebooks are way better than both Clairefontaine and Rhodia, although the paper is probably equal.
