Dear Fountain Pen Network Community,

This been my first post on the form I firstly wish to commend you all on keeping this forum active and relevant.

I am writing to you to ask your opinion on the following item.

http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...N:IT&ih=014

I essentially looked before I leaped and purchased this pen. Im curious of its authenticity. It has a serial number but it is made in W.Germany apparently. Which is disturbing.

I havent received the item yet but, im looking for your advice in case it is not authentic ill send it straight back.

Best Wishes and Thank You in advance.

Good luck waffas, and a big welcome to FPN! biggrin.gif

Cathal, the pen looks absolutely real to me.
The box is from the late 80' / early 90' as well as the leaflet / warrenty certificate.
Maybe the cap (at least the clip) is an original replacement by the Montblanc service because of a crack or to get rid of an engraved name.
Nothing to worry about.

Regards,
Axel

I am not an expert but I think the pen is real.

What about getting a FP ?

Enjoy the pen.

Looks real that one mate. Correct 'shiny' black plastic case and the booklet matches the era of the box as well.

Wouldnt worry about bidding on that.
