This was going to be a keeper, but I recently added another 2048 to my collection and I wanted to share the coolness of this really remarkable nib as a smooth, crisp italic..

I think it is the very best combination one can hand~dance with.

Let me bounce this off you fellow Estie fans: (feedback appreciated)

I'd be happy to grind your Esterbrook nib into a smooth crisp italic. Here's the deal: You send me your nib (not the whole pen) and I send you a smooth crisp italic we are beginning to call the Pendleton Point. If you like it, send $20 to my paypal ($15 for each additional nib) If you don't like it, I'll send you a replacement nib (same one you sent if I can get it).
CONUS shipping is covered. Fair enough?

Thanks ~

PS ~ I know some of you feel it's a travesty to grind an Estie nib. But if you have five 1551-5s, choose one (or some other common nib that you may never use), and give it a chance to dance!

Let me be the first to say that I have one of these nibs and am sending out a couple more. Non-tipped nibs do wear, just think of this as a heavily worn nib! wink.gif The nibs really write very smooth and mine does not grab at all. I think you will be very happy with what pb2 will do to a 1500 series nib!

Thanks for the good feedback Firefyter-Emt. Glad you're liking yours.
I really like your Norman Rockwell. Very much "in the pocket".
