Full Version: Problems with a Visconti Wall Street LE

I have a Visconti Wall Street LE that I'm trying to flush.
It's clean, but unfortunately I can see drop or two of water in the lower reservoir. I've tried letting it drain over-night with the plunger in the up and down position, but it's still there.

Is there a secret to this?

Have you removed the nib and feed to allow more air flow to dry the ink reservoir? They are pressure installed and can be removed without too much trouble. There are other threads, including one with a video, on how to do this. THat may help your drying issues.

Such is the way of the high vacuum, double reservoir filling system. Scribe75 is correct, to completely do this you have to remove the nib. I usually don't bother. I have around a dozen or so Visconti or Visconti made pens that all have the same "issue", it is normal for that filling system.

Thanks for the advice.

I think I'll just let the water dry, rather than mess with removing the nib.

Have you tried putting a wad of paper towels or Kleenex at the bottom of a glass - a shot glass works best - then sittiing the pen in the paper wad overnight?

Yup. Tried that, for about 3 nights actually...

I've read the posts on this topic, here & elsewhere and decided tonight to grab my Wall Street LE in Titanic celluloid by the nib & feed. A firm and quick twist anti-clockwise and ... it began to unscrew easily, just like my other Bocks. I up-ended the pen, drained the ink from the small reservoir and then, just to see if it could be done, inserted a cotton bud. This wiped the inside of the window clean.

That is as far as I need/want to go now. I don't need to change the ink and have no reason to flush the larger reservoir. But the smaller one was child's play. So, where's the problem?

Mine won't budge.
