Fahrney's is having a clearance sale until the 31st. It's definitely worth checking out. I probably should have noted down some of the prices but I was a bit overwhelmed. I do remember there was a F Boheme (don't remember which one) for 325. Lots and lots of Stipulas and Krones too.

I stopped by today and was disappointed. They did not really have very much on sale and it was the sort of thing you might expect to be left over in their warehouse - kind of drab and not the nicer things. Some of the prices were good - 50% off, but most seemed to be more in the 20% to 30% off range which is not anything to get excited about in my opinion.

Even so, I'll have to stop in later this week. I can oooh and ahhhh, maybe hold a few pens to see if they're really what I've been looking for, and buy a little ink for their trouble.

Ah. I got there as soon as they opened (hey!) so I imagine they may have had more stuff then. It is their warehouse clearance sale, I believe.

I was there at noon on Monday and walked out with two Stipula Novecento pens, one black resin with silver trim and one electric blue celluloid with silver trim. The brands with the best deals were Stipula, Omas, and Cross. There were only a few Montblancs, a few low end Watermans, and a few low end Pelikans.

Fahrney's is not a big store anyway. I just went this afternoon and also got a Stipula Novecento. There are some very good prices on the brands CharlieB mentioned, plus Cross and Conklin (though the latter mainly lower end).

I also notice that their store brand ink is almost certainly re-bottled Private Reserve.

The jury is still out, however, on Fahrney's Sepia ink. Its color doesn't seem to match up with any of Private Reserve's "regular" colors. Someone on this forum was speculating that the color might have been created especially for the Fahrney's brand. Anyone know?
