This morning I picked up an old Osmium 223 button filler at a flea market.
It turned out it has a wonderful semi-flex nib, it says fine on the barrel, but on closer examination it seems to be a fine italic. Quite springy and with some nice line width variation.
Not surprisingly, I have to fit a new ink sac. Can someone tell me whether the section in these pens is screwed in (maybe even shellacked) or is it friction fitted?. If it is a separate section at all. The fit is very good; using a 10 x loupe I could not distinguish any interruption between barrel and section.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know if you know me from the flea or any other market, i am an Dutch Osmia collector known as williamvanburen on ebay market. The 223 Osmia have a screwed section between barrel and writing section. Due too damage to the old sac the ink could be dried up and caused diificulties to unscrew the barrel. Washing the barrel and the inside (through the push button) with water could solve your problem. Anyhow dont use to much power by unscrewing the barrel, the barrel could break easily from the writing section. If u need a new sac, push button just write back.
