Got my Taccia Andante in the mail today and thought I'd share a few pics:

I apologise for the picture quality, since they don't do the Andante's colours any justice. It's a great looking pen and a superb writer.

How do Taccia nibs run? Is a fine more like a medium?
Apollo
Hi pvdiamon, my Andante has a medium nib and it writes like a medium should. It is available in fine, though. I got mine from isellpens.com which has a them at a good price. Note: I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a happy customer.

Thanks for these pics, Apollo!! biggrin.gif I had asked a month or so ago about the color of black cherry and I see that, yes, it is half black/half cherry!!! I'm ordering the Andante in February and am still deciding between the Honey Bee and this one - I love Taccia pens and Richard is sending me the Mother of Pearl Stained Glass next week with a 0.6 stub - can't wait!! I already have the Imperial Portuguese in Forest Marble (my first real FP) and it's still one of the most beautiful pens I've seen - Taccia's colors are stunning!! Thanks again!

Beautiful pen! Thanks for sharing pics.

Here are a few more brighter pics that capture a bit more colour.

Oh, wow! Thanks for these additional pictures, Apollo biggrin.gif This is making my decision between this and the Honey Bee even more difficult! I'm loving the cherry part and it looks like the black half isn't a pure black but mixed with wisps of gray? Very subtle...if that is a wrong impression from the picts, let me know. It's so hard to tell/decide when you haven't seen the pens in person. I think I may be leaning toward the black cherry...I wish it were all cherry instead of the split but it's growing on me, very much - thanks again!
Apollo
Kelly, it is more of a dark grey with wisps of black. It actually contrasts nicely with the "cherry" part. I too debated on whether to get the Honey Bee or Black Cherry and wished it didn't have the split patterns, but now that I got the Black Cherry version, I really like it. I don't regret getting this pen at all.

Again, thank you so much for this info!! I can't tell youi how this helps me out. Also, I appreciate that you bought yours before I made my purchase - good timing biggrin.gif laugh.gif I'm still torn but am REALLY starting to appreciate the black cherry now after seeing these pictures and hearing about the gray/black color; that was always so hard to see clearly on web photos. Plus, I don't have any pens with a red tone and this would look great among everythng. I actually wrote Taccia to see if they were considering more colors in the Andante line and because it's so new, there's nothing on the books until they see what is selling and what isn't.

Kelly, it was the pen's reddish tones that attracted me to it in the first place. I think you'll really like it.

It reminds me of the cranberry in their Imperial Portuguese line, too - gorgeous stuff! The more I look at your photos, the more I'm falling for the black cherry - this really is surprising to me biggrin.gif

Beautiful Andante!!! It does have those nice color ranges. I really like the celluloid pens and their variations.

Thanks Handlebar. Yeah, that Signum Orione has become an instant favourite. Looking forward to a Nova next.
