Hi all,

I've been reading this site for awhile now, but recently have seen a couple of threads that I really wanted to comment on. Thought I'd better introduce myself first : )

In February I stumbled upon FPN looking for J Herbin ink, and signed up so I could see all the images. I keep coming back to look at all the different ink possibilities and of course the cool pens. My other interests include reading, knitting, and photography. H and I also like to go dancing.

I spent a year studying in France, so right now most of my pens are cheap (but smooth) student editions. My favorite is a no-name chrome Waterman that cost about $10. Eventually I want to get some nicer pens, but inks are easier on the budget.

I'm looking forward to going to the Portland Pen show tomorrow; it sounds amazing.

Hi there and thank you for having those magnificent Sequoias. Good for camping etc.
Glad to see that you'll be buying a few more pens. I mean if you really like a lot of different inks, then you'll need a pen or two more as well.

Welcome to the forum. Waterman's pens are great, even the most humble student pen. For Herbin inks I suggest yu order from www.penandco.com

Welcome from a fellow FPN'er from the Pacific NW. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to the Portland Pen Show this year. Earlier in the week, I had just gotten back from spending a week in Newport, and couldn't justify shlepping myself back down to Portland for the show. Hopefully, I'll be able to attend next year.
