So, I was doing something I never did - filling my fp at the coffee table in the living room. Yep, worst nightmare - I tipped the bottle over and 1/2 a bottle of my custom-blended "Blue Spruce" ink was on my hands, the coffee table...and the carpet! Since my husband already rolls his eyes at my fp collecting, I had a bonafide emergency.
So, a roll of paper towels, an old toothbrush, my Murphy's Oil Soap, my artists' brush/hand soaps and an hour later. And I got it out of the carpet. Granted it's still damp, but I got it out.
Let me say that Murphy's and that Artists soap actually get it out. Hallelujah!

For the record - my "Blue Spruce" is a blend of Omas Green, Noodler's Midnight Blue and Red-Black.

Good work!
(Murphy's Oil Soap is good stuff.)

If you got Noodlers ReBlack out your carpet, it mustn't be cellulose based (cotton). The black component in that ink is, I believe, "bulletproof".

That was my concern, too. Perhaps the very few drops of R-B that was in the mix wasn't enough to impact the staining power. I suppose getting to it immediately helped, too. I didn't give it a chance to dry at all.

I was just thinking how on earth did she manages to get the red-black out, but the non cellulose -maybe 100% acrylic? carpet- made the day....Buff, thank Lord for ceramic and well varnished hardwood floors.

Quick solution: call that outfit with the easily memorized 800 number, and have the carpet replaced. "I dunno honey, I just felt like a change."

Always fill mine in the kitchen or bathroom for that very reason--I am running the risk of dropping a pen on a hard surface (and have done so exactly once) but at least I have yet to spill on carpet.
