Dear fountain pen enthusiasts,
Just a short note to introduce myself.
My name is Rob Bakels and I live in the north of the Netherlands. I have browsed FPN for some time and now decided to join and be able to post.
I have written with FPs all my life (actually learning to write using dip pens!). In the last year I have developed a real fancy for UK and US fountain pens from the 1940's to late 60's. Favourites: Parker 61, VS, VACs and the English duofolds. However, Wyvern and Waterman are not to be dismissed! I have been able to obtain a few nice pens! Furthermore, I own a Pelikan 200 I have been using for nearly 20 years, and a newly obtained, but older, Pelikan 400, for which I just ordered a full flex nib from Richard Binder (can't wait for it to arrive....)

I am looking forward to exchanging views with fellow- enthusiasts.

Hi Rob and welcome too. My first expeditions were not only to Holland in general, of course, but especially to Alkmaar due to the famous church organ there which I really enjoyed playing (Bach, what else?).
Lots of luck collecting, and try to keep you wallet above water (if I may say so)
