When I click on my username to view my profile it now opens the "About Me" tab whereas before it opened the "Topics" tab. Moreover the "About Me" has the following message: "This user has not configured their 'About Me page...." what this all about?

hm. we seem to have a glitch over-all. When I click on mine it gives one muddled (visually) post reference.

well, maybe not a glitch so much as a change in the s/w perhaps? I clicked it again and the muddled bit was fixed. Basically it will just show your signature after you create one. I suppose it makes a bit more sense to start there than to start with topics. But it assumes everyone has created a signature. I don't mind. Though my sig is now kinda mucked up and I need to fix it.

KCat, pardon my ignorance, but what's a "signature"?

See the little bit below this paragraph that has my name, my rescue site, my quote from V. Woolf. The system provides the dividing line. Click on my controls and somewhere on the left side of the screen is an option to edit your signature. You can just put "Rufus" or more if you like but it should change how your profile shows up once you add a sig.
