Hi guys,

i have been offered a very nice sterling silver platinum set i am guessing from the late 70s /early 80s and need some ideas on how much it is worth.

I have some photos of it . Any input will be highly appreciated

upon further search platinum place is selling the fountain pen for $280 so i am getting an idea about it now ....

In my opinion, $280 seems high. Prices on Platinum Place are both higher and lower than I've seen them go for in Japan. They've also not changed their prices. Ever? And, may be out of date.

It is not an often seen model and beleive it comes with black enamel inserts too.

Depending on your desire, I would think somewhere in the $175 to $225 range. It's an awfully nice pen.

I have the FP and it is a gorgeous item, uncommon and older model - the ball clip and open nib were early-ish.

The seller is asking around $340 and i am not too keen to go ahead with the purchase at that price...perhaps some negotiations could help
