Pros:
-Great fitting in the hand.
-Simple design
-Love the cap
-Works wonders on nice paper
-I've dropped it more than once (Whoops!) and not a scratch on it, and thank god the cap was on at all times when I dropped it! So sturdy build and great finishing paint job (Or whatever they use...).

Cons:
-I think because of the ink and cheap paper I use sometimes, some of the paper gets lifted off onto the nib and I have to clean it afterwards.
-I find the nib a TAD bit stiff, just a bit!

I've not too much to say about this one, it's designed simple, but it looks quite sharp. The nib itself, in my opinion looks a bit too simple, but works fine.
The ink seems to last a long time even with daily use (Medium nib!). Fairly large ink cartridge though mind you.
On a personal level, I love how this pen fits in my hand.
I think with this pen, you either like it for its simple design and functionality or you don't cause it's just not visually appealing to you.
All in all, I personally like it! thumbup.gif

Edit: The little silver hairs that you may or may not see is the thread from the box, not scratches.

Thank you for a straightforward review.

I think the Expert and Expert II are very underrated pen models. I agree that the pens are well designed and quite comfortable to hold. I find them nicely balanced. I find the nib a bit small for the size of the pen, but I am sure that is a very personal impression. I do not find the nibs just a bit stiff, I think they border on being nails, but I like that feeling against paper. Maybe the stiff nibs is something that puts some people off these pens? The nibs themselves are infinately useful and excellent writing. - I find the cost to quality ratio of these pens to be outstanding.

I hope you continue to enjoy your pen.

I have to say I love my Expert II. It isnt a pen i would have thought of buying but one came up on ebay cheap and it turned out not to even have been inked. I am very pleased and now wouldnt be without it - a smooth wet writer, stiff yes but still wonderfully smooth and I too like the way that feels on the paper. After a disappinting experience with a Kultur F this pen brought Waterman back up in my estimations.

Glad you like yours too..
