While looking for the smaller Sailor 1911 here in Tokyo (in burgundy, or maroon, as they called it here), I notice that all the current mid-size 1911's have a much 'yellower' nib, and the anchor logo is gone, too. Two retailers have told me that these new models come with 24K plated nibs, though under the coating they are 14K.

Do the current 1911s being sold in the U.S. still come with the nibs with the anchor logo and a much lighter, almost 'white' gold 14K nib (a much nicer nib, in my view)?

I bought my 1911M a year ago and it has a pretty yellow nib but the anchor logo is there. Once you mentioned it, the nib looks way too yellow.
