I was on the motorway driving the cat back from the vet when I heard an ad on the radio. It said that Paper Plus was having a birthday sale or something and had 50% of a wide range of items. I immediately wondered if FP's would be on the list but wasn't hopeful. When they said all Parker Pens I was sure I misheard!
Late this afternoon I went to my local store and I did indeed hear right! From Thur-Sat they have 50% all Parker pens.
Wow!! Red Lacquer Sonnet with Stainless Steel nib for $104.50 NZD (£40, $80 USD).
I am not affiliated with Paper Plus in anyway, I was just really stunned at their being such a sale on Parker
This is very tempting but I am going back to look at some vintage pens I saw earlier in the week at some antique shops.
Red French Lacquer Sonnet with 18ct nib. I want to give this a close inspection to ensure it isn't an obvious fake. Bit cheaper than the new Sonnet too which seems rather odd.
CS85L and Parker 51 Vacumatic.
The Parker 51 is what I was really after but I am not sure if I want to pay $85 NZD (£32, $64 USD). for a navy gray Vacumatic that has had no work done on it.
Are there any other people in New Zealand who have heard about this sale or bought anything from it? I know my local store has sold out of it's sonnets and they only had a blue Latitude and chrome Frontier left out of the Parker fountain pens.
