I have a free bottle of Noodler's ink to choose with a Pelikan GO I just bought (Green Board deal that is still going).
I already have the following inks Noodler's RedBlack, Gruene Green, Navajo Turquoise & Apache Sunset .... PR Avacado (not to keen on it), Shell Pink (my daughter's) and Shorline Gold (my daughter's) along with a blue/black mix... Pelikan Brilliant Black and Brilliant Brown.
I am looking for something new... was kind of leaning to the reddish stage, butnot a brilliant red ... thought of maybe Antietam or Tiananmen... definately want to stay with a Noodler's ink... but don't want something that looks like what I already have.

All help would be greatly appreciated... I like deep concentrated colors that show some nice shading. I would like to make this decision some time today...
YEAH, I know I am not asking for too much am I.. rolleyes.gif

Here is the link Green Board.
You will find a thread by Jim Sanders offering NIB Pelikan GO pens with a free bottle of Noodler, PR or Sailor ink for $30 including US shipping .
A really good deal on a great pen and ink.

I'm about to hit the sack, Griz, as it's 12.45am over here, but I just noticed that you're in a life threatening crisis, so of course I'm compelled to help a fellow nutter out. wink.gif biggrin.gif

A red, you say? I think I have the answer. Owning a bottle of tiananmen and IIRC remembering someone's review of antietam, I think these two "reds" lean a bit towards the browner shade of red.

My recommendation is my current favourite red (or rather what I like to use as my red though it leans towards the maroon/burgundy shade of red - you can tell that I'm a colour expert, can't you?) - Ottoman Rose.

I know a certain mad dutchman will second my recommendation and I think there might be a review in our inks section.

G'nite.

Yeah, so many choices....

There is also Cayenne, Ottoman Rose - which has just a touch of blue to it, and Widow Maker.

Saguaro Wine would be different, but its closer to a lavendar color....

Have I contributed to the confusion?

YES COMPLETELY... wallbash.gif wallbash.gif wallbash.gif wallbash.gif wallbash.gif

The problem is that I am not looking for a bright reddish color... something more subdued. Which is why I was looking at Antietam and Tiananmen....
Goodwhiskers
I haven't seen any Noodler's red or orange range inks on paper, only digitally, but Antietam looks more subdued than Tiananmen. Antietam is in the orange direction. Or, how about Beaver or Kiowa Pecan?

Hi Tom,

I read Jim's message as saying that he is offering a special package deal of one pen and one bottle of ink for $30, including S/H. You can still get just the pen for $24, including S/H. So you are actually paying $6 for the ink. But they both sound like good deals nonetheless smile.gif

It appears you might be able to find a GO pen for $15 (quick Google search found a review implying this). However this looked like a fairly reasonable offer, with the ink and shipping, but the pen apparently just comes with medium nib.

Yup finally got water back on...
Had to pull the pump up from the bottom (287 feet), undo all the old wiring and replace with new flat wire secured every 3 feet so it does not bang against the well housing.....
Thank goodness it hit almost 60 today and there was no snow or ice like we normally have this time of year...
Cost..... $478.27 BUT I GOT WATER...
