Hello, I have a question that hopefully someone will be able to answer or point me in the right direction. I have a Parker Lucky Curve that measures a hair over 4 1/4" capped, also it is very slender. The barrel reads Geo. S Parker Lucky Curve Fountain Pen Janesville, WIS U.S.A. Pat 4-25-11 .It has a single gold band with a black line painted in the middle to make it look like a double band. It has a clip that reads "Parker" going vertically down the clip. Now the pen is in very good condition with no cracks, bite marks, and very minimal brassing just on the ball of the clip. Here is where I am stumped, I cannot seem to find another pen like this anywhere, Ive looked in books and allover the web, but always come up with nothing. The color is very unique it is a very light green with almost a wave/ripple/heringbone pattern. If anyone can help me determine what model, color, and if this Lucky Curve is worth anything that would be greatly appreciated.

Several evolutionary variants exist for at least most of the colors. Could be had with clip or with ring. Enough crop up with both to suggest the ringed top endpiece was fitted (easy to do) with clips as well, early on. Produced around 1928-9

Parker Lucky Curve Pastel Pens. Aimed (iirc) at he ladies of the day. Not rare, but probably seen less often (produced for less time) than black Lucky Curve pens produced in variety too of sizes and evolutionary variants for well longer period of time.

They are collectable. Condition and color preservation (esp issue on pale colors) count. Overall hardly rare, but completing a clean set of colors and key variants would be a non-trivial endeavor.

Oh okay, well thankyou for clearing that up for me. The one i have is is excellent condition, so the $2 I paid for it was worth it I guess.

Thanks

There is an old school that was later transformed into and antique store. The antqiue was sold, with all of the belongs inside of it too and a new owner had estate sales there. There were quite a few pens and none of them had a price on them, I asked the guy that owned the place how much for each of the 10 pens and he said 2 bucks a piece. Overall not a bad deal.

David,

I've been gifted a lucky curve that looks like yours and Paul's light green one, except the barre does not have any marking on it, there is no ring at the top, and it's two gold bands on the cap instead of a black ring through a gold band.

Can you tell me approximately what it would be valued at- I do not want to sell it, but if it's high, I cannot accept the gift. Appreciate your help. Posted another thread before I saw it.
