Just finished scrolling through and reading many posts on the -- I think -- 27 pages of this portion of the site, "Land of the Rising Sun." Just great! I'm not surprised at the extensive craftsmanship involved with Japanese pens, or the enthusiasm for them -- at least not now. Newbie that I am, though, I was not aware at all of the wonderful world of Japanese pens. Beautiful, amazing, inspiring stuff!!

I'm just starting out with one of Samovar's Pilot 78G's, but who knows where I go from here?!? lticaptd.gif

Thank you to all for the lively conversations and wonderfully thorough and helpful information!

Wow. Very thoughtful and kind of you.

I concur - thanks to all. I have been registered here for one year and have been enriched by the knowledge I have gained. (Of course, the wallet has been "de-riched").

Me too. This is my favorite section on the FPN.

It's nice to see a new person express their appreciation. smile.gif I was a member here for about a year before I realized this section was here. Doh! wink.gif

In general, FPN is the best pen related website on the WWW, IMHO. I've learned so much here, despite "redistributing" a lot of my money (from cash to pens!). Not only is FPN and its membership responsible for most of what I know, it has also been a conduit for "virtually meeting" some very nice people. I've gotten a chance to meet a small fraction at a pen show here and there, but I hope to meet more at future pen shows. biggrin.gif

I agree. This is such an informative forum. As a result, I have about 15 Japanese pens, from all 3 major manufacturers. Now I just need a few Nakayas...

Folks, just remember that this is a non-profit venture, so please make sure to contribute to FPN every once in a while (see link on the top left when signing in) so that FPN can live for many more years...I contribute every once in a while instead of buying a pen. Makes me feel good to support such a great venture. biggrin.gif
