Are you aware that this pen weighs probably nearly 3 ounces? I will put mine on a food scale when I get home, and let you know the exact weight. It is the heaviest pen I own. I like heavy pens, but many people do not, so I wanted to ensure you did not go to the trouble to get one, and then find you didn't like it.

Also, you could PM or email Winedoc, who posts here, to put you on a wait list. That is how I got my first one. A friend from the Dallas Pen club emailed him, and got one she loves.

I bought a DaniTrio Classic from ArtAddict, who ordered one because she liked the looks, then put it on Marketplace because she doesn't like really heavy pens. The Classic is substantially smaller than the Tac Carry II, and once I get mine back from Dillo (he just finished making it an F nib from an M nib) it will be my weapon of choice for nearly everything.

I got home from work, and weighed my Tac Carry II. With no ink in it, it weighs in at 1.70 oz. My food scale does not go metric. By contrast, the Danitrio Classic, full of ink, is 1.50 oz, a Sheaffer Targa, 1/2 full of ink is 0.85 oz, and a Parker 51 3/4 full of ink, is 0.65 oz.

Thanks Donnie - I do tend to prefer heavier pens. I have a VP and like the weight a lot (will need to compare it to this to check that this is not too heavy for me!) Thanks for the tip.

Also I have PMed winedoc...
