Does anyone know the cost of a Mont Blanc 224 pen and how can you tell if it is fake or not?

For costs, I would look at eBay and at retail sites around the net. See what other 224's have sold for.
As a vintage, lower-grade model, it's unlikely that the 224 was ever faked.

Yes, agreed. I have yet to see any faked vintage montblancs. Same goes for the modern piston fillers. I guess the cost to manufacture a piston filler would fare beyond the profit margin of making (and selling successfully) fakes.
