Can someone ID this Sheaffer... from the look at the back end it looks like TD filler.. but it also looks like a Sheaffer school pen I saw the other day... the big difference is the back of the barrel...
Also if you can ID it... can you tell me if it is worth while acquiring... I really like that peacock blue and the nib looks interesting.

It's a Sheaffer Imperial I. They came both as Touchdown and cartridge pens.

OK imagine the same pen but c/c filler, round rather than squared barel end, steel nib (same inset type) and chrome cap.

(OK imagine a different pen... smile.gif)

Is this different pen also an Imperial I or some sort of school pen variant?

Right, I've just found out what model one of my great uncle's pens is too smile.gif It's a cartridge filler in the same grey as shown in the photo. Unfortunately it just likes to deposit ink over anything and everything.
