Any advice would be appreciated:

Bisquitlips...that's just an awful attempt at photography! smile.gif

Totally kidding. Those nibs are really nice, aren't they? I've got a couple of 'em myself and they're among the top modern nibs I own! One says "Sheaffer's" like yours, and the other one says "Levenger"!

Seriously, nice work there. I like the composition with the old paper money. The only thing I might change would be to go for a more solid background than the marble; depending on the light level and the pattern, it can have a tendency to muddy up the rest of the image.

What'd you use to take the picture?

Rroossinck,

Good advice on the background. There was something about these that I didn't like, but couldn't put my finger on what it was. I think the granite was it.

Would you go for a lighter or darker solid background? Wood, fabric, paper?

You are correct on these pens having excellent nibs and writing characteristics. When I received it I was astonished at how well it laid down the ink. And mine is so much lighter than I expected. A pleasure to write with.

Thanks for the input. I am no photographer that's for sure, but I have sincerely admired some of the pen photos I have seen here.

I've always been a big fan of heavily grained woods. I take a lot of my shots on our kitchen table, because it's chunky and it has a lot of character.
