I am a brand new member and this is my first post!

Anyway, I have a Mont Blanc Mozart fountain pen and I really like this pen. However, I feel that if I could find a converter for it (rather than using cartridges) the ink would flow a little better (maybe I am wrong). Is there a company out there that makes a converter that will fit inside a Mozart? Thanks in advance.

you can buy a montblanc converter or use a waterman cartridge (the long ones fit my non piston MB144)

Very sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there actually is not any converter that I have been able to find that actually fits it. There are a number of "bantam" converters, but none of them fit the unique Montblanc feed "nipple" (developed in the perfect way so that you can only use Montblanc cartridges, or close matches like Pelikan).

Your best bet is to try and make a converter yourself from a used ink cartridge, though it has been beyond my own skills.

Cheers!

The MB Mozart is a very small fountain pen, I'm not sure if you'll be able to find a converter that fits it. Using a cartridge is about the only thing you can do, short of gluing a rubber ink-sac to the section-nipple...

People have made aerometric-style converters from old cartridges.

Is that possible, though? In my experience, such attempts usually end with split cartridges and a mess of ink...

I think you should just use a hypodermic needle to refill your used cartridges. I once cringed at this idea, but its not that bad. I think its your best option, as there is no creative engineering involved...

Really, there's no 'ready-made' converter for Mozarts. I always use back the same cartridge, filling it up with a needle and syringe. But i guess if one has the right skills, a custom-made cartridge-turned-converter would be possible happyberet.gif
