I have a VAWCO 14K vintage nib.
Anyone knows which company is VAW(CO)?

Just a wild guess here, but could it be WAWCO. Welty (...Evans) 's humpfillers were called Wawco's. I am not sure I have seen it on a nib but just a thought?

Is the VAWCO imprint properly centered on the nib? Is it possible that the imprint could have been made by a broken stamping die? Welty made relatively inexpensive pens, and a new stamping die might have been more than he wanted to spring for at some point.

Pictures?

Yes, it is centered. I hope to get a photo to post tomorrow.
