So I'll risk redundancy: Where are all the cool pen shops in LA? Any of them sport a more copious catalog of inks? Other than "Yolk" in Silverlake, do any of these stores carry Noodler's?

I'm not sure. The Fountain Pen Shop in Monrovia did carry Private Reserve the time I was there.
Vroman's (the stationery store at the end of the block) in Pasadena carries some PR, Visconti
and others. Swain's (art supply store in Glendale) carries Pelikan, Waterman, Quink, Mont Blanc
and some Herbin. Not being familiar with the west side, can't tell you much about that. Once
upon a time, The Fountain Pen Shop was downtown before it moved to Monrovia. Glendale
Galleria has or had a Mont Blanc boutique.

Actually, I get my Diamine, R&K or Noodlers from Pendemonium.com, Pear Tree Pens,
The Write Fill, Swisher Pens, or the Inked Nib-- ordering over the net.

Hey, thanks for the info! Yoke is on Silverlake Blvd. just past Sunset Blvd. I'll be making a trip to the Fountain Pen Shop soon so I'll check it out and relate whatever interesting tidbits I may find.

The L.A. Fountain Pen Shop in Monrovia (FP paradise!) had a stock of many colors of Noodler's Ink when I visited there a few months ago.

Vroman's stationery department does not sell Noodler's ink but does sell many other brands of ink in most of their respective colors, in bottles and cartridges, including Private Reserve, Visconti, Montblanc, Waterman, Parker Quink, the new Sheaffer Skrip, Pelikan 4001, Lamy, J Herbin, Namiki, Yard-O-Led (not Diamine), and Aurora. Not all colors or packaging might be in stock on any given day (they haven't had bottled Namiki Blue for a while). I'm just a satisfied customer of theirs.

There's a pen shop in Long Beach, at least there was a couple of years ago. I don't remember the name but it's not hard to find; it's on the ground floor of the "WORLD TRADE CENTER" on Ocean blvd. 'Not sure what inks they have though......

I was at the LA Pen Shop (Monrovia) just a couple of weekends ago, and they had a good stock of Noodler's and can order more if you need it (we got Bulletproof Blue).

FLAX sells pen paper and inks. I don't have the address.

i was at south coast plaza (ok, so it's orange county but at least the tax is less!) a few days ago and saw they had a pen store, pen paradise. i went in and got a bottle of pr burgundy mist. i also saw they had a good selction of noodler's ink among others. very nice people. and when you buy for the first time they send you a gift card for your next purchase.
