After turning far too many pens, I gave it a rest and designed this solid maple pen case that holds 24 "beauties". Hope that it inspires others to make one of their own. Enjoy!!!!

Congratulations Peter:

It is gorgerous,

You may produce them in series and sell them here to FP fans,

Regards,

Julio

PD - You can't imagine how difficult has been to me to find some wood pen chests (more than a year). So I found them, I sent several emails to the company representative with no answer. So I decided to place an order (I did it last friday the 27th of june and paid it), I received the order confirmation, bus has not been any response nor communication anymore. I am waiting and sending more emails.

Hi,

Very nice case, unfortunately it might inspire, but I don't have the technical skill or knowhow to do much more than nail a couple of bits of wood together, so for the moment I will just have to dream.

Hi Julio,
who did you order(company) your pen case from? In my opinion the best designed pen cases are made by Agresti (Italy) and Romero Llopis (Spain). They're both a great source of inspiration for me.

Thanks to all FP members that have enjoyed this latest pen chest of mine.Your kind comments are appreciated.

Hi Peter,

They are The Wooden Post, www.woodenpost.com, in Texas. They have nice things at good prices, and the shipping charges are "decent" (Joon quoted me Us$70 for S&H for a Reed & Barton, I didn't buy it).

Check the web site, they have really nice things.

Thanks for sharing the info. Julio. You're right, the prices are good but methinks that the 'quality' of wood may be suspect. There is 'solid' hardwood and then there's cheaply prepared veneered surfaces overlaid particleboard. Looks decent on the surface but will not withstand the test of time IMO.
