The "icicle" is not the same model as a cracked ice".

Hi, my name is Adam and I restore and sell Esterbrooks on Ebay. I do keep "wish lists" for my customers and buy things to fulfill those wants. I restore the pens and then resell for $30 more than I paid for the pen. I would be happy to go after a $1.50 cracked ice pen in yellow of blue for you but the downside is that you would need to be prepared to spend between $200 and $300 for a yellow and between $300 and $400 for a blue assuming normal market prices and a good quality restoreable pen.

These pens are more rare than Visumasters and barring a total "sumgai" sort of deal, you would be looking at pretty steep investment. I would be happy to get them for you but I would just want to make sure than we are all on the same page...

Wow! I am practically a "newbie to collecting esties and I did not realize that those pretty things go for that much! Thanks for the info, Adam. If and when you do find one, would you let me know so I can assess my "budget" at that time? I would surely appreciate that!

Well, welcome to the Estie world of fountain pens! I would love to find a cracked ice for you but without a firm commitment to buy I can't risk tying up several hundred dollars in one pen that could take months to sell.

Thanks very much for your interest though and have a great day!

Fair enough--thanks for letting me know that you are there and when I feel that I really, really need to have one and can afford it, I will certainly contact you. Thnaks for letting me know about pricing too.
