Folks, is the LeMan 100 nib threaded? Or is it a press-fit or...? I'd like to disassemble completely for some insane reason!

Second question - I see Lewertowski on ebay has nibs for the LeMan 100, but they don't appear to have the same gold ring as mine. After much reading, mine appears to be, for better description, a first generation without the earth/world image on the nib, and his appear to be with image and without gold ring before barrel of pen. Any opinions on it? TIA!

Nevermind! After more times than I can count of thinking that I have fixed my nib - I tried using 100% ammonia and have finally fixed the problem. Problem? The pen would write fine for one or two full pages, then start going dry until burped. Sitting for several hours would give a dry start. wallbash.gif
After more than several months, I tried a few drops of ammonia in water and got some more strands of ink. I am using the baby nasal aspirator to pull/push the water.
I could find no end to getting sporadic strands of ink - so in a desperate moment I used only ammonia. After about 45 seconds, I got a flood of ink! Afterwards, there were no more strands of dried ink or inky clouds. Another bath in soapy water - then cool water. Let it dry overnight and now I'm in business. Yes - the LeMan 100 with fine nib is everything I hoped it would be. Smooth as silk. A just-right feel in the hand. clap1.gif

I suggest you to rince your man 100 with cold water every month so you are sure that there won't be any dried ink in the converter and the feed and that therefore it will perform flawlessly all the time.

Will do! After this experience I may do it after every convertor full (little paranoia?)... Thanks!
