Hello..

can some one post a writing sample of M and F nib of these pens, or at least direct me to a like where I can find some writing sample. I have been searching this forum but could not find that.

Many thanks

Fine and medium are labeled as such because they adhere to a basic, universal standard of what is considered fine and medium (or, at least what is considered F and M in Europe/America). Just find a post with a Pelikan F sample, and another with a Pelikan M sample, and those will pretty much approximate what you can expect.

Go check out the Pelikan forum! The people there are the nicest out of all forums thumbup.gif and you'll get more information than you'd ever thought possible

My M805 (M) just landed today, so if you don't get what you need elsewhere, let me know and I'll doodle something for you.

Pendemonium has comparison charts of the way the nibs write on their Pelikan page.

Even if you've found these samples, I wouldn't mind them myself actually. I'm pretty convinced on getting an 800, nib F, and actually likely in the traditional green.

Only problem is....if I ever (well, rather, WHEN) I get an M1000, it'll definitely be a green one too. That is, there will be duplicates.

It's also worth mentioning that Pelikan nibs vary somewhat. My M605 medium with Pelikan B-B ink writes more like the Montgrappa M sample (which is what I traditionally associate with medium).

I have a Pel M800 coming in today, which I may or may not ink depending upon how much I like the striated green motif. If I do decide to ink it, I'll post a short blurb here.

Yep, I concur. The M605 that I had in XF wrote more like an F+!

Ryan - if you feel moved to donate that M805 to charity someday, my Save the Pelikans organization's doors are always open. thumbup.gif

I'm a charitable guy, but after waiting for three years to find one at a time when I could swing it...well, you know the rest. smile.gif Nicest Pelikan I've ever owned (by far), and I don't see myself letting that caged bird go!

Thanks you very much , that was really helpfull ..... appreciated.

I recently had the same dilemma when purchasing my m805 and contacted the place where I intended to purchase from and they very helpfully ran a few lines off in the nibs that I was interested in and posted them to me, is this something that might help you? Oddly I settled on an OB when I had been expecting to go for M as usual.

It's a very nice pen and this has become my everyday work pen now and has been my first expensive pen even though I have always used fountain pens at work.

The pen is fabulous for writing in my diary and meeting notes but as I work as an engineer I've found this pen isn't the greatest for impromptu sketches given the nib width as it struggles a little when the nib moves that quick.

I have an older m800 with a full flex medium nib and it writes like a champ.
