Hi there, thanks for stumbling onto this trade post. I am cleaning out some pens at the moment, and the following two pens are in the "maybe they should go" basket. They are:

1) Waterman Exception Slim, Black lacquer, silver trim, 18kt white gold EF nib. This pen was purchased in 2005 I think from an authorised retailer at full price (I was so young, innocent and blind back then rolleyes.gif ).

It has seen little use over the years and is in great condition. There are some microscratches on the lacquer but these are only visible under bright light. The nib has good flow and like most EF nibs, there is some feedback when writing with it. It is a fairly smooth writer nonetheless and I've never had problems with it not starting. It plays well with all inks. It comes with its original box and papers (lifetime warranty and all that jazz), converter and possibly the original florida blue cartridges (I'll have to dig around for this).

2) Parker Duofold International Pearl & Black, 18kt dualtone EF nib. This was purchased from a fellow FPN member a while ago and has also seen some use. No box or papers with this one but it is in very good condition as well. The cap band shows very slight wear but no brassing.

Now, I am looking for: Visconti Opera Club with a fine nib in any finish except Honey Almond, Cherry Blossom and black, in particular I'd like Typhoon Blue or Nordic Fjord. I am also desperately seeking a Visconti Metropolis in fine nib, any finish is ok. Oh and I wouldn't say no to a travelling inkwell. I would also like to try a Japanese pen, I have never owned one before and I'd like to try something towards the mid-higher end with a soft nib.

I am open to hearing any other offers you may have (no steel nibs and preferably no medium or broad nibs), but I am somewhat biased towards mid-higher end pens, Caran d'Ache, Graf von Faber Castell, Dupont, Visconti (no Van Gogh please) or a Japanese pen (recommendations welcome!). I am happy to make up price differences. I am not in the market for LAMY, Pelikan, Waterman or Parker.

Alternatively, if you would like to offer yourself up as a potential new owner for one of my two pens, by all means PM me with an offer. I am looking to trade rather than sell though, but for a reasonable price and a new good home I can be swayed.

Thank you for reading this stupidly long post! You deserve a cookie if you've gotten down to here biggrin.gif Please PM me if you have any questions or offers or advice. Cheerios!

Both these pens sold a few weeks back. Of course it wouldn't have been just for the travelling inkwell, the price difference would obviously have been made up via payment or another trade offer. In any case, too late now. Sorry.
