Hello All,
Just wanted to put in a plug for the Noodlers Habanero. This is not a permanent ink but it writes well and I am really into the color. It is sort of a burnt orange, but I find it neither too bright nor to dark and dull.
The ink has just enough pop to make it special. At the same time it is dark enough to provide good contrast with the paper and it makes reading easy on the eyes.
I am very pleased with this purchase. One thing I cannot help but notice is that once dry, it is close to the school color of the University of Texas.
It must be all the football I've been watching.
Anyway, I am thrilled with the Noodlers brand inks. My current favorite.
Thanks,
Ron

How about a picture if you can.
I would love to see it.

Great color! I got some last fall (OK for Haloween

) and ended up using it until Christmas time (when I switched to Red and Green, Noodler's Ottoman Rose for the red, and Noodler's Green.)
The Habanero looks really good with a broad stub nib. I have several Bexley's with the broad stub, and it really shows off this color.
Sorry, no scanner, but would love to see others examples.
Cheers!

The Habaneros I grow are Savena Reds, and MUCHO hot! The Habanero I put in my pen is Noodler's and I've become very fond of this color as well.

I was torn between the Habanero and the Cayenne. I opted for the latter but think i will buy the former next month when i visit a World Lux in Seattle (assuming they have it in stock!). Thanks for the info!!

Bryan, great scan! I would be tempted to get a bottle of one or the other, but I have an ink that looks VERY close - Noodlers/Swisher Apricot Orange, which I suspect is the same but in a quick-dry version. Great shading!

Hi
Doesn't it look much like Noodler's Cayenne?

Bryan,
Great scan. I like the results of your nib as well. I do not know that much about stub nibs; do the come in different sizes? F,M,B etc?
If so, what size are you using in that sample?

This is one of my most favorite inks that I own. For me it is a permanent resident of my Balium Core, as it matches it perfectly. The shading of this ink is out of this world.
I have been wondering how it compares to Cayenne.. Seems like Cayenne is the more popular of the two. Does anybody have both inks where you could do a side-to-side comparison?
