Hi ,
I'm Kivanc from Istanbul , Turkey. I'm interested in fountain pens for about a year. I'm reading your forums for a while and really enjoy this. During this year I bought (and have been using) a Parker 45 (black with gold plated cap), a Platignum varsity FP/MP and an onoto MP.
These days I'm looking at low-end Pelikans (new ones) and Esterbrooks.
Greetings to everyone there.

Welcome, Kivanc!
Low-end Pelikans?
How about trying to get a Pelikan GO before
they are all gone? They are of a much higher
quality than the usual low-end Pelikans (like
model P22 Culture).
If you don't already know this beautiful link
to Pelikan info, take a look at

It is good to have you here kivanck! The Pelikan Level 5 seems to be a decent "cheaper" model:
REVIEW HEREIn any event, Turkey is my wife's dream destination and we hope to visit there some day. Again, welcome!

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for this warm wellcome. I think I couldn't express myself in the right way. I meant M150 and M200 series saying `low-end` Pelikans. I read many good things about both these pens and to be honest, besides writing performance design is really important for me and Pelikan tradition series looks great to me with their classic designs (and cheaper prices compared to Souverans)
I don't think that I will buy a Souveran soon but in fact I don't know the difference between 'Tradition' and 'Souveran' series (except their colrs etc.)

Hi kivanck and welcome to FPN!

It's nice to see some more new FPN members from Eastern Europe. I myself was born in the former Yugoslavia so I know a little bit about Turkish history

I hope you enjoy reading and participating in the forums here....and I hope you enjoy your Pelikan M150/200 as much as I do mine (I have one of each)
