A silly question for those who might have some experience with the Pensinasia.com website. Every time I click on the email icon to obtain pricing information on a Montblanc 149 I get a cheerful response from Tay telling me to check the website! So I go back, don't see any prices and send the same email...and get the same response. Somebody please tell me what I'm missing? Or should I just go somewhere else. Thanks!

Send an email. Tay (of Peninasia) will reply to your email in reasonable time.

You will probably get a better price if you mail him though.

Didn't he just say that every time he sends an email asking for pricing he's told to check the website?

That's what I'm trying to ask. I have emailed him with a very specific question and he happily sends me back an email saying just check his website. It is an endless circle. Or Catch 22. But his prices are rather mysterious as far as I can tell.

Maybe he is on vacation and you are getting an automated reply.
I emailed Tay a couple of days ago and got the price back for what I was looking for. Have you emailed him more than once?

I've bought from Tay. Good prices and service, yes. Once he missed one of my mails, asked him again and he got back, apologised.
I'm buying my next pen from him.
I've never seen any prices on his web site either. So I don't do any business with him.

It always seems odd to me when retailers don't publish their prices. If he got right back to me with a firm price I probably wouldn't mind since some brands won't allow retailers to publish prices online. But I was just getting a short reply that differed each time (so it wasn't an auto reply) and simply included a referral back to his website. There are too many people out there selling pens to put up with frustration.

Again, no affiliation, happy customer. I think I know why Tay doesn't keep the prices on his website, but something is telling me not to elaborate on that here. You get the prices from him if you ask, and you'll be sure to get your goods delivered to your door.

I e-mailed him yesterday on a bunch of pens I've had my eye on and am still waiting for a response. I don't mind a day's wait, but I think anything beyond that is pushing it a little, especially if there's not previously established responsiveness to increase your patience or earn your trust.
