Full Version: Problems With a Phileas

I have an older Waterman Phileas (maybe 7 years old) that has never been used.
I filled it with ink yesterday and it worked beautifully for about 20 or 30 minutes, then it just stopped writing.

If I set it down for a few hours and come back to it, it works again for 20 or 30 minutes.

I'm using a brand new converter in it.

Please help!

Must be a bad week for the Phileas. I just posted that I thought I fixed my issue, but alas, not so. Hope you find the answer to your issue. I really like the Phileas (just not this week).

Try soaking it in cool water with a little dish soap. Just the nib section and converter.

And if that doesn't work, make a 10% solution of household ammonia and water and run that in and out of the section/converter unit a few times. That will usually clean anything out that dish soap fails on.

Good luck
