I just rediscovered an old bottle of Parker Penman ruby that I stuck in a corner years ago. I didn't like it then, but now all of a sudden it's one of my favs, go figure. blink.gif And there's only a 1/3 of a bottle left... can you sense my panic mode?

I looked at the recently posted burgundy ink reviews -- and YIKES, is this ink no longer made, or available? ohmy.gif My bottle says "England" on the bottom and has this terrific cone filler gizmo in the neck of the bottle that works great.

Can this ink still be purchased anywhere? Does anyone have a bottle they'd like to trade? What would tempt you?

I read somewhere that Penman inks are still available in China. You could try eBay and look for the Malaysian and Indonesian discount pen sellers.

Thanks Bob I'll give that a try -- I'm wondering if I'm enough of an inkaholic to actually consider paying international shipping charges, even if I were lucky enough to find the ink in some far off part of the globe!

AFAIK, the inks in China are black or blue only. But it's been a while since this was brought up so that may have changed.

I'd look on e-bay. There was a fellow from Greece selling them for a while (i stocked up on Emerald) and now and then he pops up again with an auction. Very good to do business with even though it's a pricey ink.

PenGallery in Malaysia is selling Penman Black (only black, sorry to have to tell you) here.

Websters Penshops in the UK have some remaining (at least, they did just before Christmas when I bought a bottle of Ruby to try). They only seem to have the odd bottle in their shops but I did contact their central office and ordered a dozen Sapphire a while ago.

Try www.websterspenshop.co.uk

Good luck,
