I've now managed to aquire quite a collection of pelkain, esterbrook and Lamy nibs.

However I'm running of of places to keep them safely.

Short of buying new pens to put them in, what can anyone recommend to keep them safe and in good health?

What kind of storage you are thinking of?

How about one of those plastic boxes with the little compartments in them? I have one that I bought from the craft store. It is used to store small embellishments. It looks similar to this.

I'm just looking for somewhere for them to live! Between being used in pens.

I think that the plastic box idea is a good one. Is there going to be any adverse effects from not using nibs for extended peroids?

I keep my dip pen nibs in plastic boxes fishermen use for lures. Plano makes several sizes and they are two-sided (there is a lid on each side). The boxes that a fly fisherman might use have compartments in ideal sizes for nibs. I don't know if those are available in the UK.

Nib storage? You might consider using the plastic sheets designed for storing a bunch of 2x2 slides. Nibs wil be visible from both sides, clear plastic, store in a binder, easy access. Available from a good camera shop and on line.
