Thanks for this review (and all of the others). I still can't quite decide if I need Zhivago and Sequoia, but your scan of the former is leading me to believe that I absolutely do.

I'll have Sequoia in a day or two and will be doing a review if that helps at all.

I would say that the drying time is too long on Clairefontaine/Rhodia type of paper to be practical for daily use and it can smudge on this type of paper for a substantial time.

Yes, you need both. Zhivago is really almost black, whereas Sequoia is rich with colour.

Agreed, but Zhivago is a good color for the right nib/person.

really? I haven't experienced this. What pens do you use to achieve this?

Sorry -- my comment was unclear. I already have the Sequoia, and it's one of my favourite colours, but I don't own Zhivago. I'd still be interested to see your review of the Sequoia, of course.

Darn! That's a bummer. I was thinking of buying some Zhivago, but I use Clairfontaine/Rhodia paper a lot and I'm a lefty side/over writer.

Here's a quick and dirty scan of both. Really to my eye you can see a slight difference (not much) between sequoia and zhivago. Sequoia has dark green tones to, while I think Zhivago has black and darker olive tones. Call me crazy if you will.
