Recently I came across a French Parker 75 in turtoriseshell lacquer
pattern in excellent to very good condition. I believe it is the first version as it has the
two chinese characters in the cap.It is in hand of a collector(he bought it new in '80's, but sadly lost the box and papers).
None of us know the value of it, and I want to buy it at a fair price.I do not want to feel that I took advantage of somebody's ignorance.
Neither do I want to overpay.


So, if anybody can tell be approximate value of it, I will be really grateful.

The 75 you described is a very nice fine in the 75 line. I have seen these with the Chinese Characters sell for $300, but I would say a fair price to both you and the seller would around $200 for a used, excellent condition Lacquer. This is one of the harder Lacquer patters to find. Hope this helps you out just a little.

I don't think I can afford $200 right now for that pen ,
but I think we can we settle for something . I will post if I get it.... I am not a show off ,
but that pen is something to show off..!!!
