Any opinions about this line? I've passed on blue and green models twice now, but love the idea of a Visconti piston-filler, and these satisfy that, plus they seem solid in that Visconti way...priced right, is this line carrying around a good reputation? Is it more Casals than Isserlis? smile.gif

The Anniversary Voyager series of pens is my FAVORITE fountain pen, bar none. I have two of the Lapis, a Coral, two demos and the Skeleton version. I had the green one and sold it, quite stupid of me. I love the dimension and weight of these pens. Plus they hold a ton of ink. My second favs are the Conklin Word Gauges which are "descendants" of the Anniversary Voyager series pens. For me, these are definite working pens and a frequent part of the rotation.

The Kaleido pens are c/c fillers. I have had a couple but they do not have the appeal that the AV series has to me. Plus, teh AV series is the real deal celluloid, not acrylic.

I fell in love with this series, too. I have all three of the Anniversary pens - coral, lapis and green - and three of the Voyager c/c fillers - black, amber and blue. I agree there are differences between the Anniversary series and the Voyager series, but that was all the more reason for me to buy several more of these marvelous pens. Although the Kaleidos are not celluloid, they are nevertheless unique in their colors and the textured interior character.

I like the size, shape and weight of these pens. They are long like classic 1920's Duofolds, but they are somewhat narrower, and they have a sleek, contoured section. They are ever so comfortable in my hand. The nib is sized just right for these pens, and my nibs have all been flawless performers. The nibs do write a bit wide and wet, but I like that characteristic.

If you can find a Voyager of any ilk at a decent price, I think it is a worthwhile buy.
