In 2003, Sailor released a Limited Edition full-size 1911 pen to commemorate the league championship of Japanese baseball team the Hanshin Tigers.



I do not have an interest in baseball, but I do have an interest in unusual Sailor pens, and this one fits the bill. Two styles of this pen were produced - a White-Black Stripe version and a Yellow-Black Stripe version. Each style was limited to 77 pens.

The cap band is engraved with Hanshin Tigers and the individual edition number. The sleek 21K nib is imprinted with the "HT" logo.

That one certainly does carry off the baseball theme well. One of the benefits of teams owned by corporations it appears, promote the team as well as the brand at one stroke.

That is an unusual and very striking pen, Laura. The nib is also quite nice. And any team that regularly gives the Yomiuri Giants a hard time is okay on my list!
