Fellow Aussie FPN member inkypete mentioned these products in a recent post. I thought I would try it out, hence this review.

I forgot to mention that the paper is a cream colour with red lines.

tudorŪ ECO notebooks have a 100% recycled hardcover with a tactile, green, handmade paper finish. The quality cream pages are 70-75% recycled paper, made from a combination of agricultural waste, recycled waste paper, and bamboo crops that are harvested for re-growth as a sustained renewable resource.

Below is a scan of several pens and inks on this paper. If you click on it it will go to a larger size of the scan.

The review was written on the subject paper, using a 'Jinhao Dragon's Descendant - Silver' fountain pen, using my ink mix that I call Tropical Ocean Blue. (However, it seems that the ink flow was a bit variable during the writing, so this pen will be undergoing some maintenance, soon.)

Any possibility of a US source of these? We don't have OfficeWorks here, but we have Office Max and Office Depot, as well as Staples. Anyone know if any of those routinely stock these notebooks? I have frequently found items in the stores which are not visible on the web sites, which is why I am asking, in case the answer "look on the website for OfficeMax/Depot/Staples" seems obvious.

Glad you like them too - the one improvement they need is to be micro perforated so you can easily remove the page. But I love the paper too. Haven't tried the pads in the range but I am hoping they have the same paper.

Tudor is an Australian company and I don't know if they export their products outside of Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific.

Try either of their websites -- http://www.tudoreco.com.au/ or http://achievewithtudor.com.au and see if they are willing to ship some to the US.

The Notebook paper is "70-75% recycled paper, made from a combination of agricultural waste, recycled waste paper, and bamboo crops". The pads are "100% recycled 60gsm paper". I haven't tried one yet, but they look and feel quite different from the Notebook paper.

Maybe we should send them a few messages requesting a higher-quality micro-perforated padded paper made from the same stock as the Notebooks.

My local Officeworks has the pads in stock now and they are garbage. The paper looks like newsprint and they are not inexpensive. I have emailed them and asked why they don't use the same stock as the notebooks - lets see if they reply. Been 24 hours and nothing.
