Hello there,
I'm a newbie on this forum and into fountain pens. But I think I will go a long way.
I was looking to bid on a Sheaffer Triumph, the seller pointed out that the lever is filled and need to be resacked.
First, what that means? The pen won't work?
Then, is the resacking a complex operation? If yes, how much will cost me to send it out? Where?
I know there are a bunch of questions but your help will be really appreciated.
Thank you.
John H.

If the pen is a lever filler,
i.e., one with the little metal lever on the side that you lift out and release, then resacking by a reliable professional should cost about $20.00. You can do it yourself with a lesser investment, however; here's a link to my instructions on
how to replace a pen sac.
