Deirdre, I keep coming back and thinking. Is it really practical to carry 2oz of ink, the size of the Nalgene? I have one little calligraphy bottle about that size and can't figure out if I am missing out on something! biggrin.gif

Thanks for postng the info.

Well, you don't have to fill it!

I've been using these for a couple of years. They're brilliant, and so much cheaper than those travelling ink pots.

This will be such an epic first post rolleyes.gif I've been lurking for a long time if it helps any. Anyway...

You can get sizes other than 2 oz. They have tall thinner ones that I think hold ink better that come in 0.4 oz and 0.6 oz as well as 0.5 oz eyedropper bottles, etc. They all ship free, just search Nalgene on the website. There are something like 6-8 different styles and many sizes from 0.4 oz all the way up to 32 oz.

Maybe I am IT challenged but the only smaller versions I see are snap lids and all the screw tops I found start at 1 or 2 oz. AM I missing something?

I couldnt find anything smaller than 1oz in a screw top either.

I just ordered a several of the bigger ones. Hope they get here soon.

No, you're right, a lot of them do have snap tops. They're still water/ink tight, though.
Zoe
Epic!

I found all the sizes and shapes. I bought a couple of 1oz, 2 ozs and larger ones for watercolour trips.

Thanks for all the inspiration.

Purchased a number of these bottles (1 oz and 2 oz) and have been using them to transport small amouts of ink when I travel by air. So far, in six trips x 6 bottles/trip, no leaks, no runs, no problems. Can't make that claim for other nalgene bottles I have tried.

Thanks for the tip Deirdre,

If you go to the store in person, they are in with the travel items, rather than with the other bottles/containers. Took me a while to find them when I went to buy some.
