Ah, mine has arrived! It took 18 days (!), but they have arrived. So- any of you folks who might be wondering if your Reform(s) have vanished into the USPS's ether closet take comfort in the fact that your pen(s) will likely show up. Eventually.

For those ordering one now, I'd recommend buying at least one with JJ's smoothing out service. I didn't, but I've heard very good things- and I'm wishing I had! Not too bad without it, but I hear it makes a big difference.
Two questions, for either JJ or some other Reform enthusiast:
1. What's the deal with the removable nib? Can you buy replacements, other sizes, etc?
2. Is it wood that I see at the bottom of the nib/feed unit as a means of allowing in ink?

Aaron,
1.) The removable nib facilitates easy repair, which I believe is it's primary purpose. Back in Reform's day, there were probably many sizes, shapes, and grades of replacement nibs, but one is more or less limited to the stock nib these days. The only other Reform that one commonly sees is the Bremen, and it does not have a removable nib.
2.) Wood does not make up any part of this pen. The feed is ebonite, the nib is steel with the anti-corrosive tip material, and the barrel is plastic.
Regards,
JJ
