In "William Gardner's Book of Calligraphy" the author devotes half-a-dozen pages to Punctuation.

I would post them here, but don't want to infringe copyright.

This book, which is entirely concerned with lettering with square-edged nibs, is well worth reading.

My commas, periods, apostrophes, or anything start with small anticlockwise circles (two usually) to form the round shape, then a clockwise tail starting from the top of the dot if needed, lifting/twisting one side of the nib or point depending on the pen off the paper to give it a tapered point.
