Waterman has a new pen called the Perspective. I don't know about you guys but I think it looks unique and I guess you could say nice. Any thoughts?

Never mind. Just found it.

WOW! Talk about a paradigm shift, this one looks like nothing they've done before. I kept trying to (mentally) put it in a category with another pen, but it ain't happening. I think the chrome ends are very cool. Strange new clip, but I like it. If it is at least a mid-sized pen (like Carene or L'Etalon), I will purchase a blue one.

Thanks, W'man; can't wait to get one!

I wonder how much they'll go for probably something under $200?

On a side not why did Waterman discontinue the Man 100 line wasn't it one of there best sellers?

You are right, it was the flagship pen. It was a true classic. We will probably never know why they discontinued that model, but I suppose when times and company leaders changed, so did everything else. crybaby.gif

The exception is not comparable to the man 100 neither is the edson.

I wish they would re-issue the LeMan line.

I loathe steel nibs as they rarely come in B or stubs. crybaby.gif

I like the looks, I tried to find a price from a google search of retailers, but I don't know if it is for sale yet or not? I will buy one regardless, but I suppose I might wander over to the mall and see if they carry any.

According to the site, it is a mid-range price. Less than the Carene, more than the Charleston.

I am getting my third man 100 in july and my fourth and last man 100 in september. I am not excluding a possibility to buy later a man 100 in wood but I have other pens to buy before. I will be invited at a Waterman event in Paris in October thanks to my connections with my pen favorite dealer. I have encountered a sales representative of Waterman and the responsible of Waterman's marketing in France this Friday (the same guy that I encountered at Paris ecriture exposition 2 weeks before)and exchanged some words with them. I will tell them how people miss the man 100 especially people who are really into writing. The first generation of Man 100 nibs with the hole where more flexible than the second generation Man 100 nibs with the globe with the Ideal writing on the nib. The last generation of nibs found on the exception is far more stiffer than the second generation of man 100 nibs. I was explained that by Mr Mora and I do agree with him. The edson is great seller thanks it futuristic looks but its a mediocre writer. Some people like the edson, I don't. Give me a 149 or a flat top or a 360 magnum over an edson.
