I ordered one of those 8-pen cases. Really like it, bTB. Ordered it on the 11th. Received it in yesterday's mail.

Such a refreshing experience after my dealings with the non-pen company I witch about in Chatter. (still no product, still no pick-up of wrong order. 5 weeks since order date.)

I received a 1mm stub nib from Pendemonium for my unexpressive Pelikan M200. I immediately loaded the pen with Sheaffer Blue Black (American), and the result was not
so great; probably this ink flows too freely and, with it, there was almost no difference between up and down strokes.

After this, I used Quink black, an ink that is too "dry" for my taste... and UAU! What a nib! Excellent variation, ultra smooth but with the exact feedback. What else can I say? I am in love with this nib. I have also noticed that stub nibs are becoming "my voice".

This is an incredible nib for a really affordable price.

My next purchase will be the stub for my Vanishing Point, and I will order it from Pendemonium, of course.

I spent an hour and a half with Sam in Fort Madison last Saturday. She is so great when you're in the store - I probably dip-tested over 15 pens and walked away with a Sheaffer Prelude with a ground cursive italic nib, among many other things. It's a beautiful writer, filled with Noodlers Walnut.

Anyway, Pendemonium is definitely one of my favorite sellers, and they can custom grind nibs with a 1-2 week turnaround - pretty impressive!

One of these days before I leave this world, I want to do a tour of the US and stop to visit all the people I write to around this country. I will surely make a stop in Fort Madison to visit Sam and Frank in their own shop. They are such great people that I don't feel I could enter the state without stopping to visit them. I will, however, have to take along one of those fold up bags in which to stash my pen, paper, ink and desk accesories that I just KNOW I won't be able to resist. Best of all will be to just visit them when they are away from the hubbub of pen shows. Yes, one day before I leave this world.

Yes, I sing the praises of Pendomonium as well. I bought a fantastic stub nib for a Balance II and a Prelude left oblique. Great nibs for great prices.
I have something nice to pick up from the post office on Monday as well
Actually, I have two packages to pick up.
Well, soon there will be another package. blush.gif
I've been on a binge. I woke up with a terrible headache this morning. So I need to buy one more pen. Just one more.

Cashed in my stocks yesterday eureka.gif

I have to agree too, there is never any grass growing under orders with them that I have ever placed.

... grass growing under...

Given my handle, I was thinking of something funny/clever to say about this phrase, but despite me being tired (it is Sunday night over here) I am still wise enough to spare myself the embarassment (and all of you the pain).

I am expecting a package from Sam within the next couple of days. Can't wait!! drool.gif (no pens though, just some cool goodies!!)

GRASS ---

Here's a good old American phrase:

"Grass don't grow on a racetrack, ya know." Nor on a busy retailers shipping desk, either! wink.gif

Good one, Petra! Will definitely remember that one.

Consistently top-notch, fast, friendly service. It's why I keep going back to them...might have to try their nib grinding services, too!
